Candy Hearts: An EtsyGreetings Valentine Blog Hop

I was never one for Peeps or Cadbury Eggs at Easter.  Halloween was still Halloween without waxy candy corn.  And I could easily pass up those red-white-and-green mint candies at Christmas that always got stuck to the wrappers.  But candy hearts... I liked those.  Small and cute with their silly, misaligned sayings; like Necco Wafers' cuter cousin - and their vaguely minty, maybe-kind chocolate flavor and the powdery texture that melted on the tongue.  Not to mention the cute red box they came in with the cut-out heart.

Candy hearts were the inspiration for my hand-painted greeting card, Luv Bubbles.  So I knew exactly what I was searching for as a companion piece.  This pure silver candy heart from Heidi Egerman Designs was just the thing.  Heidi takes her inspiration from nature to design beautiful metal cuffs, pendants and earrings.  Please take a few moments to visit her shop.
